Every year we boot up the talkSPORT Super Computer as we attempt to predict how the Premier League, among others, will finish nine months later.
A lot can change in that time with managers losing jobs, players getting injured, and transfers being made in January.
But we wondered if our initial output in August actually came close to what the final top-flight table looked like.
Manchester City won the title, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur made the top four, while Cardiff City, Fulham, and Huddersfield Town were relegated in an incredible season.
There were thrills and spill along the way but did we get close to getting it right or does the Super Computer need a new update? Find out below.

How accurate was the talkSPORT Super Computer
Did our number cruncher get close with its output?
- Correct predictions – Six
- Wrong by one position – Three
- Wrong by two positions – Seven
- Wrong by three positions – Two
- Wrong by Four or more – Two
It looks like the Super Computer is still working its magic with some impressive predictions, if we do say so ourselves.
talkSPORT’s trusty tech had 16 teams correct or only out by one or two spots, while just two teams were incorrect by four or more places.
Thankfully, we’ve only got three months until the first installation of the Super Computer’s predictions next season.
So keep tuned and get ready for more of the same from our hot tipping hardware.
