Barcelona are believed to be lining up a deal worth £100m for Marcus Rashford, according to reports.
The 21-year-old Manchester United striker is likely to lead the line for the Red Devils on Tuesday night at the Camp Nou in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final.
Barca hold a 1-0 advantage over the Premier League side and could be prepared to strike an even more telling blow once the summer transfer window opens.
The 21-year-old has 12 months remaining on his current deal at Old Trafford, with reports earlier this month suggesting the striker was ‘close’ to signing a whopping £70million deal over five years.
However, the delay in talks means Barcelona are hoping to take advantage. According to the Daily Mirror, the Catalonians believe they can steal a march on their bitter rivals Real Madrid.
New United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sees the England international as vital to his future plans, despite reports claiming he will get a £100million transfer budget in the summer.
Barca flop Philippe Coutinho is actually a reported target, with coach Ernesto Valverde likely to encourage the sale to fund moves for his top targets.
Rashford is not the only United player linked with a move to Spain this summer, with Paul Pogba and Real boss Zinedine Zidane doing little to dampen rumours of a monumental move at the end of the season.
The 25-year-old has already called it a ‘dream’ to play for Los Blancos.
