Phil Jones feels the ‘same buzz’ at Manchester United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as when Sir Alex Ferguson was manager.
The Norwegian has won 15 of his 20 games in charge since replacing Jose Mourinho in December, and was announced as the club’s permanent boss at the end of March.
Solskjaer celebrated his first game since signing a three-year deal with a 2-1 win over Watford on Saturday and Jones, who started in place of Victor Lindelof, said: “The lads are buzzing. He’s come in, he’s been a breath of fresh air for us.
“He’s put the arms around the shoulders of people who needed it. His man-management skills are terrific and he’s definitely what we need going forward.
“I think everyone can see that [he has laid foundations].

“It’s positive, we’re looking forward and we’re pleased with the result today.â€
Legendary Manchester United manager Ferguson signed Jones for £17million from Blackburn in 2011.
The defender helped United win the Premier League title in the 2012/13 campaign, Ferguson’s final season before retiring and the feel-good factor at Old Trafford has led to comparisons between Solskjaer and the Scottish great.

Jones added: “Yeah, I definitely feel the same sort of vibe about the place.
“The same buzz. The same, I don’t know, like you can’t really put your finger on it, but I know exactly what you’re saying.
“You can see similarities in that stage between now and back then. It’s nice, it’s refreshing and we’re all enjoying it.â€
