Tottenham vs Liverpool: Ray Parlour explains why Dele Alli should be DROPPED for Champions League final

Ray Parlour insists Tottenham must pick Lucas Moura ahead of Dele Alli for the Champions League final against Liverpool following the Brazilian’s heroics at Ajax.

Moura sent Spurs to Madrid with a sensational second-half hat-trick in Amsterdam as Mauricio Pochettino’s men staged a dramatic comeback.

However, talismanic striker Harry Kane could recover from injury before the final on June 1 – leaving Moura’s place in the starting XI under threat.

And Arsenal legend Parlour argues it would be ‘disgraceful’ to leave him out.

“I would feel a little bit hard done by,” he told talkSPORT. “I’ve just scored a hat-trick away from home to get Tottenham through to the final and then you leave me out?

“It’s a disgrace if they leave him out. To score a hat-trick in a game as important as that was at Ajax.

“You can’t leave him out. You’d have to leave Dele out.”

Alli’s form in recent weeks has been questioned, however, the Englishman created two of Moura’s three goals in the semi-final second leg.

He remains one of the first names on Pochettino’s team sheet, while Moura struggled for starts before Kane’s injury.

With everyone fit, the Spurs manager would usually select Harry Kane up front with Heung-Min Son, Christian Eriksen and Alli behind him – but Sports Breakfast host Alan Brazil agrees that Moura simply must start.
